The They See Blue® Pennsylvania chapter was founded on March 1st, 2020, with a well-attended kickoff event featuring Rep. Chrissy Houlahan along with a number of state and local elected officials.

Since then, all organizing has happened in the virtual space. We had some virtual Meet & Greet events with state House candidates. We wrote more than 57,000 postcards to every Democratic and Independent South Asian household in the state. We got an early start in phone banking and made more than 50,000 calls with support from TSB National. We text banked, lit dropped, attended socially distanced rallies and volunteered as poll watchers. We ended the election cycle by helping in the Georgia runoffs.

We’ve been featured in The Hindu, Times of India and our local broadcasting station of NPR - WHYY. The road to the presidency indeed ran through Pennsylvania, as the results proved!

In the 2021-2022 local and state elections, we are focusing on judicial gerrymandering that is making its way through the state legislature.

As South Asians, we must unite to protect our rights and those of all Americans. To do that, we must be actively engaged in our democracy against those who want to see it crumble.

Your contribution through ActBlue will help us elect more Democrats and expand the majorities in the House and Senate in 2022.
