Vote YES on Prop 50 for
Electoral Fairness
Proposition 50, or the The Election Rigging Response Act, is California’s response to Donald Trump and Republicans gerrymandering Texas. Prop 50 will be the only measure on November 4, 2025 ballot.
In summer 2025, the Texas Legislature approved a law to redraw their districts to create five safe seats for Republicans — an unprecedented move. In response, California is asking for voters to redraw its congressional districts to create five safe seats for Democrats. This is a temporary measure that will end in 2030 when the new Decennial Census is conducted.
What happens if we vote NO or do not vote?
Should Trump and Republicans succeed in redrawing maps in various states to create safe seats, California will lose representation in Congress, despite being one of the biggest states in the nation. Moreover, the Democratic Party will have no voice in government despite representing more than 50 percent of the population.
Trump has already shown what unchecked power looks like: illegal tariffs, economic wars with India for petty revenge, deportation of citizens and asylum seekers who have been pillars of their community.
