Social Media Manager Job Description
TheySeeBlue is a grassroots organization focused on getting voters of South Asian Origin to vote for Democrats. We are looking for a part-time (10-15 hours per week) Social Media Manager that can help manage our various Social Media Accounts. This job is ideal for someone who is politically engaged, is passionate about democracy and has the requisite time and experience.
Responsibilities
The overarching goal for this position is to improve brand awareness, increase engagement and help increase voter turnout for the 2024 elections. To this end, the Social Media Manager has the following responsibilities:

Develop and execute social media campaigns

Update social media content across all channels

Engage with followers, other like-minded accounts

Define KPIs and analyze metrics; tweak strategy/campaigns to improve metrics

Establish relationships with social media influencers, partner accounts to develop a strong network

Coordinate with content developers and ensure content fits campaign themes and is available on time
Qualifications

Experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role

Knowledge of best practices for various SM such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Creativity, Passion for the cause and ability to work with volunteers and other people

Previous non-profit experience a big plus
Please note that although this is a paid position, the pay is modest to start with and the ideal candidate is doing this job because they are passionate about the cause. You will have a measurable impact on ensuring Democrats have the AAPI vote.
