Victory in 2025 Hinges on Turnout:
How YOU Can Help

There are several important state-level elections taking place this year, across California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia. There are local elections for mayor, municipal positions in many areas but we're talking about statewide offices and a ballot measure.
-
California has a ballot measure asking voters to temporarily pass a new congressional district map for 2026 through 2030. (For more information on the measure please scroll down.)
-
New Jersey will be choosing a new Governor.
-
Pennsylvania will voting for State Supreme Court justices and Appellate Court judges (influenced by Elon Musk).
-
Virginia will be choosing a U.S. House member, a Governor, Attorney General, State House delegates and more.
Odd-Year Elections
In Virginia, about 55,000 South Asian Democrats voted in 2024, but only 26,000 voted in 2023. In the past, Virginia elections have been decided by fewer than 1,000 votes: Democrats lost the House in 2021 by 733 votes in 3 key districts. In 2023, Democrats won the House in 2023 by 975 votes in 1 key district. Thus, small changes in voter turnout have enormous consequences in odd year elections.
We will be specifically targeting voters who tend to skip odd-year elections. This is incredibly important.
Although our ability to impact national politics is currently limited, we can definitely establish dominance at the state level and send a clear signal to Washington, D.C. Let's send a powerful shot across the bow to Republicans.
If you want to help restore sanity to our politics, here's what you can do.
Your help could make the difference.
Thanks for helping save democracy.
Support California Proposition 50:
A Strategic Stand for Fair Representation

On November 4, Californians have a chance to take a bold stand for electoral fairness by voting YES on Proposition 50, also known as the Election Rigging Response Act. In response to aggressive mid-decade redistricting efforts in states like Texas, Prop 50 offers California a temporary recalibration of its congressional maps—ensuring that our representation in Washington reflects the values and demographics of our state.
Why Vote Yes?
-
Protect Democratic Balance: With Republican-led states redrawing maps to gain congressional seats, Prop 50 helps California counterbalance this shift by enabling fairer representation for its diverse population.
-
Preserve Independent Oversight: The measure retains the Citizens Redistricting Commission’s authority for future maps in 2031, ensuring this is a temporary, targeted adjustment—not a permanent power grab.
-
Minimize Disruption: The proposed maps keep 80 percent of voters in their current districts and adhere to the Voting Rights Act, reducing city splits and improving geographic logic.
-
Defend Against Gerrymandering Nationwide: Prop 50 sends a message that California won’t stand idle while other states manipulate district lines for partisan gain.
Governor Gavin Newsom has framed this as a necessary response to national efforts that threaten democratic integrity. Voting YES on Prop 50 is not just about California—it’s about standing up for fair elections across the country.
Let’s make our voices heard. Let’s vote YES on Prop 50.
