About Us

The New Jersey chapter was reinstated as an independent chapter in July 2024. The chapter's top priorities are to support Democratic candidates in congressional swing districts in the state and partner with neighboring states to support swing races. Members engaged in a number of targeted activities in support of the 2024 presidential race, including postcarding, text banking, phone banking, and door-to-door canvassing. The Chapter team members have years of political activism and experience to help achieve our goals.

For 2025, our focus is on the upcoming Governor’s election. We will endorse the candidate who wins the democratic primary and fully support the candidate by driving South Asian voter engagement through active outreach efforts. Our immediate aims are to:

  • Increase registration of eligible voters

  • Maximize Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts in pivotal swing congressional districts by leveraging every available resource and strategy at our disposal including:

    • Postcard writing to target registered Democrats and Independents.

    • Phone banking, which can be done from home during free time.

    • Text banking, which can also be done from home or anywhere.

    • Block walking, which means going door to door (based on a list of registered Democrats/Independents) and talking to individual voters or leaving behind information about candidates.

    • Meet & Greet/Virtual Meet & Greet, which are organized events to meet specific candidates.

    • Conducting in-person outreach potentially in high-density locations frequented by South Asian communities.

Donate to They See Blue

As South Asians, we must unite to protect our rights and those of all Americans. To do that, we must be actively engaged in our democracy against those who want to see it crumble.

Your contribution through ActBlue will help us elect more Democrats and expand the majorities in the House and Senate in 2022.
